What Even Is 05:21
See this path we're walking down Seems steady then you Swept me off two feet A spark of light unravels From each curl of the tongue I thought I was Keeping with the pace Blindfolded by my afternoon And daylight won't give any clues away As to what will Happen next And I've forgotten where Oh where I came and what even is? What even is Original? How was the moons night Wrapped between your love I'm going out of my way But I was still lost on you today In the lull of January Surprises still await Each twist and turn Doesn't keep me at ease How I keep on getting tangled up Living for Each and every absurdity And I've forgotten where Oh where I came and what even is? What even is Original?

The strangeness of the comfort in When we first met The diaries of two outcasts Tales which seem to come of age All steps at a time All steps hand in hand All steps at once I noticed when You was gone The fact it drew me up At night I trace back our steps In diary retrospect The strangeness of the comfort here You have no idea I nearly slipped into blackout Unaware of the flow, the rush From heart to lungs to head From chest to lungs to head From lungs to heart to head Now I am forced to sit still Wild brushes emerge and paint In the end scene I traced back our steps In diary retrospect The strangeness of the stillness in When we next met Two halves of the evening Laid awake as the river Paints pictures on the ceiling The flow between us The flow between us Isn't the cycles of The neighbourhood Our lives as viewed From outside Has plagued evenings spent when I Should've been lifting you up We walk back step by step In diary retrospect There's too much detail To see clear After each spot is traced On the iris I think this is our Story unfinished Running with each heavy breath after breath Then

I fell into a trap It was my own doing though So I see it better if I Stop, hit reset A horror story mist Running ribbons through Days gone silent Uncovers when I call out and Stop, hit reset I would never leave this room Then suddenly you opened the door I feel it behind Open close I slept on this wound for days Hoping it would heal Without dressing Stop, hit reset My doubts intertwine on a loom How intricate I've been telling no one So I see it better if I Stop, hit reset I would never leave this room Then suddenly you opened the door I feel it behind Open close

5 While 7 03:22
Colours all fade on the next scene The tune that leads us Down the stairs My thoughts all race Far ahead of me Each step, a pulse, a beat Steady A sudden call that calls Me to breath in and and Untied from all this clutter That surrounds me Stranger you speak unkind and kind You're never out to impress Take joy in distractions when I Don't need to think Until it all settles in and I Pick apart the case A sudden call that calls Me to breathe in and Out

Memories you are new to me Each footstep that's passed can be Felt in the dust now Memories you are Now undressed Each curve that weaves From rips to crook of neck The unsung have their 15 minutes of fame Why settle for less and bellow the refrain Strangers you are Yet still ready at my side A small circle we are Yet in the know No pains do I feel Just convention eating away at me My postures are postures of some Asking questions for some, comes last But you're a like mind in that you Think differently Filled me up Mouth wide open Hanging on the words that jump From your lips Stood at the street Thinking to lug twice my weight Both us know this doesn't Make any sense I stop and pride can be Happily lit with a flame All this lowering of my head Now rests in the crook of your neck These shoulders feel to remember the weight What can't be fixed can be Nursed today Memory you're only, behind me

The Rounds 06:13
My heads been doing the rounds And then you Look me up You look out for me And when I fall Caught by you We walk side by side Mirrored in time At two different Parts of town Speak to me the words I wouldn't Want to hear After all we are Human anyway It's okay to say where you've been wrong It's okay to say It's okay to say where you've been wrong It's okay to change It's okay, it's okay, it's o-kay It's okay, it's okay, to change Enough of this baffling buzz Some fat chance Of white noise As we can't sleep With it on Tune out of it as we Tune into each other We sing out at once For no reason other Than a love One they couldn't Ever steal The bustle of everyone I hold close Isn't the noises that pollute both the land and the cities It's okay to say where you've been wrong It's okay to say It's okay to say where you've been wrong It's okay to change It's okay, it's okay, it's o-kay It's okay, it's okay, to change

Close 03:18
A simple life - we've got less going on That's a simple lie Told by apathetic eyes These simple lies you've been told They're as old as why? Raised on convention Nourished on repetitions They're closing their eyes and all they see is no one They're closing their eyes and all they see is less going on Closed doors in ankles You ask Can you manage? When no one asks for your help You're of no help to them You wouldn't want to relate To understand another's troubles It's too much to make Amends They're closing their eyes and all they see is no one They're closing their eyes and all they see is less going on

about

The songs on 'Close' mostly revolve around a partly broken old Indian Harmonium, supported by more conventional instruments. With most of the arrangements sharing this flawed foundation; the tactile element of adjusting to the non-linearities of a broken instrument, was sympathetic to the stories shared in the songs themselves.

With a mix of stories both of fiction and non-fiction 'Close' examines the feeling of Apathy; promotes The Social Model of Disability and explores some of my own interests in new-wave cinema and coming of age tales.
