The strangeness of the comfort in When we first met The diaries of two outcasts Tales which seem to come of age All steps at a time All steps hand in hand All steps at once I noticed when You was gone The fact it drew me up At night I trace back our steps In diary retrospect The strangeness of the comfort here You have no idea I nearly slipped into blackout Unaware of the flow, the rush From heart to lungs to head From chest to lungs to head From lungs to heart to head Now I am forced to sit still Wild brushes emerge and paint In the end scene I traced back our steps In diary retrospect The strangeness of the stillness in When we next met Two halves of the evening Laid awake as the river Paints pictures on the ceiling The flow between us The flow between us Isn't the cycles of The neighbourhood Our lives as viewed From outside Has plagued evenings spent when I Should've been lifting you up We walk back step by step In diary retrospect There's too much detail To see clear After each spot is traced On the iris I think this is our Story unfinished Running with each heavy breath after breath Then

There is a lighthouse on land You'd figure there's no clue When you reached out But you are here I am there You are there I am here Here Wanted for bounty - settle down Here you look across from me A duel of doubt laid out You are here I am there You are there I am here Errrrrreeee(!) Ahhhhh - ohhhh Is it normal to feel to collapse? Your laugh brings respite Two on the runs take solace a drink Bartender no cloth on forehead At the scary social We are here We are there... Ooooo - AAAAAAA -

about

The second single to my upcoming album 'Close'.

'Diary Retrospect' tells fragmented stories both of fiction & non-fiction on how friendships change with passing time.

'Are' was written over a week and recorded in a couple of takes. I am really channelling my love for Josephine Fosters song writing in this one!
